Some of the guys who didn't were sayin "time for a new pc". just wonderin what spec would be good. I'm about to upgrade and wondered if you could point me in the right direction. This is what I am considering :- intel duo 3.4 agp mobo ( so I can keep my nvidia 6800 ) 2gb 533mhz ram 250 sata X2 ( raid ) This is what I currently have :- amd athlon 2600 nvidia 6800 .75gb 333 mhz ram ide drive Should I save up abit more ? cheers dave dholdi View Public Profile Send a private message to dholdi Find all posts by dholdi Add dholdi to Your Buddy List #2 09-02-07, 10:17 AM FibreOptic Skyuser Serial Spammer Exchange:Redditch Sky Broadband package:Max Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Redditch, WestMidlands, England, UK Posts: 3,144 Re: What spec PC's ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You should be looking for anything from; 2.6ghz or more 1gb ram or more 256mb DEDICATED gfx card memory! And that should be fine? Im not that much of a gamer, But most games have different requirements! __________________ "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other." I'm sure I read somewhere that a good agp card can still hold its own against a pcie card if its got some oomph behind it. What do you guys run ? cheers dave dholdi View Public Profile Send a private message to dholdi Find all posts by dholdi Add dholdi to Your Buddy List #5 09-02-07, 07:12 PM SatDish Site Founder Exchange:Gravesend, NDGRA Sky Broadband package:Max Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Kent, UK Posts: 2,468 Re: What spec PC's ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mine is here Vista - Which version __________________ "To help would be a great adventure" Fast reliable email and web hosting from Amen SatDish View Public Profile Send a private message to SatDish Send email to SatDish Visit SatDish's homepage! I moved from a 6800AGP system, now running the system as per my sig below. I am a heavy gamer, most evenings after a slow day at work, my poison is BF2, CoH and occasionaly HL2. 2GB memory is advised if you play BF2/2142, as is a card with AT LEAST 256MB of dedicated memory __________________ SKY BB MAX supporting 2PCs, 2Modded XBoxs, 1PS2 and 1Wii -=Main PC=- C2D 6600 - AB9 Pro - 512MB 7950GT - 2GB RAM DDR667 - 1TB Storage d3fiant View Public Profile Send a private message to d3fiant Find all posts by d3fiant Add d3fiant to Your Buddy List #12 09-05-07, 11:21 PM spoony Skyuser Member Exchange: Sky Broadband package: Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 25 Re: What spec PC's ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- currently intel pentium D 3.4ghz 1gb ram Asus Mobo 200gb an a 120 gb hdd geforce XFX 8800 GTS windows xp pro, have vista but did'nt like it so went back to xp X-fi sound blaster fatal1ty looking to upgrade mobo-ram-cpu nxt wage hopefully E6600 or around 2gb mem an msi mobo __________________
