i will get it on release and see how it is before saying it is worth getting or not bar that it is everyones choice take a look and see what u think -dont forget to post in forum lol then we can see on release if it can stand up to our opinions link below

The first project for Kaos Studios (a division of THQ founded by veterans of Trauma Studios, creators of Desert Combat and Battlefield 2 R&D projects), Frontlines: Fuel of War uses the advanced Unreal 3 engine for futuristic, intense fights in an open-world battlefield. In this all-too-bleak future of constant wars over natural resources, two sides compete for global supremacy: the Western Coalition (the United States and the European Union) and the Red Star Alliance (Russian/People's Republic of China). The game's nonlinear single-player campaign has players advancing their side's frontline into enemy territory.

Re: Frontlines: Fuel of War

Well first impressions are good, me and shad played it for a few hours last night and didnt get bored of it. It has a few bugs and some features arnt available but then it is a beta. We also checked out the forums which are very active and the designers seem to be taking onboard everybodys suggestions etc. I dont think it will be as succesful as BF2142 but in some ways it is similar.

Re: Frontlines: Fuel of War

agreed it is almost like 2142 but that is in its own way-it is just different enough game wise to not be a copy off xx games slapped together the game types at the mo are oil field and city when finished it’ll have a lot more

maps feel big but not to the point where running all day to get anywhere

weapons there is a wide variety catering for all player types at this time some tweaks are being done to them powering some decreasing others again this is only beta so to be expected

anti tank I thought originally was crap till I killed mr d over and over and over lol it takes 3 hits to kill a tank slimier for a jeep though that will be changed to 1 hit and right click it self guides to target great for hellys which are 2 hit

sniper rifle 2x zoom aiming a little off but good as from far away u are hard to spot

drones are fun esp the minnie helly with bottle rocket missiles loll ramming has a new meaning with the light drone it packs explosives for a big bang other classes are air strike and one class got a minnie gun robot drone that is fun too lol
flying at mo there is a number off drones and a helly to fly the helly is ok but needs work as u can fly across the map with the nose facing the ground loll death from above loll the final game will have jets too it seems

unlike cod and crysis it isn’t the most realistic graphically but in loosing that u get the bigger maps and more things in it

there taking active steps to prevent dolphin divers and bunny hopping twats in game as it is something every 1 hates from the bf series
there also looking into 2 forms off anti cheat punk buster and the new unreal anti cheat engine combined

after playing it with d last night for over 4 hours solid I got to admit I had fun and enjoyed it would I play it 24/7 I cant say at the mo but I feel it could be fun to play and u have the potential to use tactics to win

Re: Frontlines: Fuel of War

downloaded the x box360 version demo and it is a vast difference in game play and graphics though my pc isn’t running on hd lol so that could be a reason any how the game play is a good bit different on the 360 the single player feels directed but not overly cramped like cod 4 you have several objectives per round -continuation forward and can go about them in xx order u want u don’t just get xx weapons drones u pick them up as u go along

the helly drone has another vision perspective where u look through the nose off it-haven’t seen this on pc one yet though it is no debut there enemies are easy kill ie like a real person shoot them and there fucked and not taking 30 bullets to kill them

it plays smooth on my pc and x box while pc is online only mode at the mo demo wise and the 360 is single I find I enjoy both though am unsure still as to what to buy it on as 360 looks sweet but pc lets me play online with others + mouse feels better the game still has a long way to go and a lot off improvements yet with all that I enjoy it finally something new to play
